Mandy Nix RD, LDN, MS

My journey towards a healthier lifestyle began over fifteen years ago when I was 30 pounds heavier, constantly yo-yo dieting, restricting calories, and gorging on “diet” and sugar-free products.  I struggled with gut-related issues, candida, and constant skin breakouts. When I was pregnant with my first child and heard the words “gestational diabetes” from my provider I knew I had to start taking control of my health for my family and I. Hippocrates said it best, “Let food be thy medicine.”

My passion for nutrition grew and led me to become a dietitian so I could help others on their path to better health. As a nutritionist & dietitian for over 12 years, I have had the opportunity to help others break free of dieting and a poor relationship with food. In addition to obtaining my M.S. in nutrition/dietetics, I have completed additional training in functional nutrition which taught me a deeper understanding of what may be leading to your nutrition concerns such as gut-related issues, inflammation, sluggish metabolism, and hormonal imbalance.

In my spare time, you can find me on the farm with my husband and 3 kiddos, collecting eggs, loving on our highland cows, and chasing pigs.

I’m Katrina, and I’ve been a Registered Dietitian for 4.5 years working mostly in the mental health/psychiatric field. Growing up, I was always interested in nutrition but struggled to know exactly what my body needed to thrive. I tried lots of diets, engaged in excessive cardio, and had poor body image throughout my teenage years into my twenties. I spent nearly 13 years dieting with no lasting results. After studying nutrition and healing my relationship with food and exercise, I’ve found true balance physically, mentally, and spiritually. Now, I want to help others get there, too!

I graduated from Loma Linda University in Southern California with a B.S. in Nutrition & Dietetics, completed 1200+ hours of supervised practice in an eating disorder clinic and acute care.  I’ve been a clinical dietitian for the past 4 years helping individuals pursue weight loss, weight management, mindful eating, diabetes management, heart health, and general health & wellbeing.

My passion is in mindful eating and helping others heal their relationship with food & exercise. I love helping others who may experience guilt or anxiety around food or poor body image. Eating well doesn’t have to be complex, and I’m here to help you learn the skills and mindset you need to truly live your best life.
